I just learned to my regret that David Feintuch died last week. He wrote the Seafort series (beginning with Midshipman's Hope), a Hornblower-influenced space opera series. I can definitely see how much Her Majesty's Dragon would have appealed to David Feintuch.

By the way, Lev and I were in the same dorm freshman year, although I haven't spoken with him in a while.

And I also have to mention the one piece of coverage that made me laugh and laugh, an article/profile in SFX Magazine, where I appeared between (not kidding!) Tom Welling and Rachel Luttrell. *dies*

Awesome. That's just fantastic *g*. So are all the reviews! I'm really looking forward to the second two coming out, and am desperate to reclaim my copy of Temeraire from the friend I lent it to, so I can re-read...

Freddy! ♥ He is like Bertie Wooster, only born in the Regency era. I wish someone would write a crossover about them meeting -- not slash, though. Because they are the same person.

You deserve every word of the praise you're getting. There was a physical wrestling match in my house over your book -- neither of us daring to put it down for fear of losing possession befroe we finished it.

So, now, next books, we've preordered two of each. [g].

Okay, if "being asked to blurb Ellen Kushner" isn't a valid definition of hitting the big time, I don't know what is. And congratulations on the continuing and well-deserved good reviews!
