Icon appropirate rant about Uryu-kun's shitty life
I'm sitting here, in front of my computer in my room, watching episode 269 with my little sister. It's in the part where Uryu's just about to send Yammy tumbling down to the lowest part of Las Noches, where he rightfully belongs. Even though he totally kicks the lug's ass here, I can't help but think he is one of the most tragic characters of Bleach.
I mean, the guy has been sliced by Thunderwitch, put up with Peshe annoying, endless babbling, been humiliated and struck down by Szayel, put aside his pride to fight alongside a shinigami, been swallowed by the same arrancar's butterfly thingy, had a doll version of himself made, (something I personaly think is very cute, but probably a huge embarrasment for him) had his stomach crushed, watched as he was saved by the man he probably most hates in this world, (and Soul Society) then been informed that the same despicable man infected him with spy bacteria, and had to humiliate himself again to be healed by said man, only to have his daughter/creation/thingy/whatever smother him with her breasts. After all that, he goes to help his friends and what happens to him?
His (probably) oldest friend/enemy/whatever the freak they are goes batshit and stabs him.
And that's just what happened in the Hueco Mundo arc. Don't even get me started on his past and the other arcs. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the last time he came out in the manga was like in chapter 353. That was like 70 chapters ago.
Ok, my point is that Uryu has a shitty life. What is it about him that makes people want to angst him so bad he can't even take it anymore. I have written, according to my calculations, like 5 different Bleach stories, all of them centering around Uryu-kun, and none of them are angsty. I like angsty stories about Uryu, but I just can't seem to make myself write it.
Anyways, as I was saying, I don't think anything good has ever happened to Uryu besides getting stronger in his Quincy powers. Oh, and how could I forget his wonderful, supportive nakama. If anyone can come up with something else, anything, that is good, and that has happened to Uryu, please tell me so that I know that their still is some hope left for him.
