so it's always been my dream that when i turned 18 i was going to go be a big sister. i thought it would be a huge eye opening experience and also change the life of a little girl who is in desperate need of a female role-model in her life. so today i called the big sister place and found out that i can't be a big sister because it takes 6 months to match you with a girl and then after that six months you have to make a one year commitment. now that doesn't seem so bad i can totally understand the 1 year thing. but i mean 6 months to make a match? i'm going away to school hopefully in the fall. which means i can't be a big sister, i find this rather depressing. so now i am just disappointed. crap.
