Meh....yup.
I am so bored. After an uneventful evening toiling at Tony Roma's, I have nothing to do. I would just go to Rosario's and see who's down there tonight, but I generally hate it when it's packed there. And given that it's Saturday, it may be. But it is Fringe Festival right now, so it might be dead. I could go soak in the tub and read Cosmo, that's always a good time. Meh.
I just had my physical, and I am very healthy apparently. It's hard to fathom, considering the extreme amounts of alcohol I have consumed within the last year. The doctor did put me on some drugs though. I am taking tetracycline for 3 months to banish all acne from my body and face. I don't have a huge problem with acne, but my doctor feels that at my age, I shouldn't be breaking out like a teen anymore. It could lead to scarring, so I have to take that shit, plus I have a gel called Clindoxyl to put on my "spots". Other than that, everything inside me seems to be operating properly, and free of disease. WOOHOO!
The band. This is what it may be leading up to, possibly. James, the young man who came to my band auditions, will be the drummer. Dave Shaw is not a likely candidate for drummer anymore, as he is working in Grande Prairie, from what I hear. Shawn still wants to be lead guitarist, but in the last year, I think he has learned one song. ONE SONG. He needs to get at least 6 more down within the next 2 weeks, or I will replace him. That's what sucks about hiring friends for bandmates. You can only hope and pray that they'll work out, because it's a bitch to replace them. I may have a temporarily bassist in Dave Williams. You might know Dave as the local rock star, and lead singer for Ratt Poison. He also appears on The Bear Paul Brown Morning Show occasionally. He said he's willing to help me out playing bass until I get a permanent player. Then I mentioned that I needed a rhythm guitarist to an old friend, Kyle. He seemed possibly interested. If I can get all of these people together to rehearse at the same time, then we might actually have A BAND. wow.
We had a wicked camping trip to Kinky Lake a couple weeks ago. It was myself, Shawn, Amanda, Matt, Dave, Ron, and Sjoerd also came up for a night. We played in the lake a little, and hit the hot springs in Miette. Lots of drinking and fun. I hope we can get in a real fishing trip before the end of the season.
