Be careful what you say on the internet.

I get to work today, and Alan asks me to the office for a chat.

It seems someone got a hold of my "Rant about customers", from either here, or on Facebook, and emailed it to the head office of Tony Roma's. The email said something in regards to "This person should not be working for our company."

The email was sent by someone named David Kenton. So my area managers are shocked and appalled with me for writing it, and in my opinion, this is an invasion of my personal rights away from work.

I never slandered Tony Roma's in ANY way in that rant. It was a piece written in humour about some of the day-to-day things we encounter as servers, and was not meant to be taken literally. It was something I wanted to share with other people, like you guys here in this group, who can relate.

Now I am in possible trouble, and hoping not to lose my job over some jerk's email.

My warning to all of you is this: Be careful what you post. Don't be too specific about the company you work for. I don't want to see anyone else go through what I went through today, with their restaurants.

I feel absolutely terrible. Luckily, Alan is not going to let me lose my job over it, unless Rob or Sandee can't forgive me for it. I want to find out who this David Kenton is, and....argh...give him a piece of my mind?

So from now on, this livejournal is going to be "Friends Only". I don't need to risk random people reading it, and me losing my job over it.
