Leeds festival 2005
Leeds festival was mint as per usual, can't wait till next year. I nearly cried during the pixies because they're so bloody good. Couldn't believe it, absolutly marvellous. When they played giagantic it was really good, got the whole crowd going, even of they did make a mistake at the beginning. I can't believe all the stupid people who missed the pixies to go see kasabian. I mean come on, pixies, kasabian... rediculous. Elbow were on before the colal n naff all people were there to watch them so I made my way to the very front and stayed there through the coral and hoped to stay there till the pixies. Queens of the stone age came on after the coral and just as they were getting ready to come on, I was still at the very front at this point, i happened to turn around to notice a rather large number of people gathering. The next thing i know everyone moves forward, and then QOTSA coem on and my ribs were being crushed against the weight of everyone behind me, who kept moving forward, which was completley pointless because there was nowhere to move forward to apart from into the poeple on the front row. People were getting crushed and suffocating left, right and centre and it didn't help that cos every one was so squashed together, we couldn't move out of the way to help the people who were hurting get out. The stewards were running around everywherehelping dying people. Then disaster struck, the highlight of my weekend... I was squashed enough as it was, i couldn't breath properly and itw as hurting my ribs cos i couldn't stretch them out enough when I inhaled, and this girl was getting crushed next to me, so the people around me and myself lifted her up and stuff, and then she bloody kicked me in the face! It was an accident of course, but she kicked me int the face n then this lass was like, oh my god that girl just got kicked it the face, and it made me cough and splutter a bit and then the next thing i know, this other girl was like oh my god your bleeding!!! I'd only bust my bloody nose! Got tissue shoved into my eye and luckily enough i didnt get any blood on my clothes or anything. About ten minutes before the end opf QOTSA I decided I couldn't cope no more, the weight was immense n i just couldn't breath so I asked to get pulled out, only then thought the best way to pull me out would be to hold the top of my skirt... So heres me in mid air trying to hold my skirt down so noone sees my bum n shit. I gotta say mind you its not very enjoyable getting crushed at the front, something should be done about it because its so dangerous. I did laughing gas and it made me want more. It made me go numb and ryan couldn't help me cos he was doign it too! I bought a pie for £5.50! ui wasn't impressed seeen as thought it said it was £3.50 on the sign. Bought this weedy herb stuff to smoke, it was shit. Ryan bought some salvia x20, and it was really scary. Ryan was drooling everywhere n proper staring at me, it really freaked me out a lot. Me and Ryan went on the ferris wheel, and ryan totally pooed himself because he didn't trust it, n he kkept telling me he wanted to get off bless him. Someone camped near us was snoring really loudly which was kinda funny. Oh my god, choo choo nuts! They were reall ynice I couldn;'t get enough of them. I got a cup to wee in from a steward in the arena. That was quite frightening cos you had to put it in a urinal thing to wee in n everyone could see, n there were some girls weeing on the grass, so i changed my mind n went to the portaloo instead. That baisically sums up this years leeds fest 2005, roll on 2006.
