"all glory comes from daring to begin..."

The last two weeks were extremely busy. It seems that i was destined to get to know lots of new people and part with them pretty soon. Both the trip to Berlin and the seminar in Vitosha left a feeling of nostalgia. Oh, i hate it, it's one of the worst feelings anyone can experience. But of course i'm meeting them all in September, then in December, February and March so it's all good. I just can't stand staying in this city and inhaling this sulphur fog.
Berlin was outstanding. I've been having a love affair with it since i came back. I can't wait to see it again. I'm not going to post any pictures because people are probably fed up with me talking about it. My mind was all Berlin for a few days but now i'm back to my normal state. Actually not, i'm still living in Vitosha with more than 50 unknown people. Together we attended a seminar about intercultural communication/ marginalisation and discrimination in the school resources. It sounds boring as hell but it actually wasn't. Let's say it was a totally new experience. ( Willem would probably find it a nightmare, hehe).
I shared a room with a pseudo-model and a girl who seemed to have given an oath for silence. Bliss! The model was annoyance itself - exactly the kind of girl with whom i have nothing in common. I hope i have better luck next time. The guys from Veliko Turnovo were great. Stoyan( Stuki) was a real sweetie ( this sounds soppy but i cannot find a better translation and in Bulgarian the word sounds much much better). However, i liked Niki better for he reminded me of my beloved Dimitar. I think, we started talking more freely after those confessions ( be patient, i'll mention them later).Desi rocked my socks off as well- i have like 10 photos of her tongue in my PC. Ahm...Irina( Irta) was the one i had the best time with- intelligent, with a good music taste, similar interests. Nice background, by the way- the first stage of making Chavdar a gay- getting a new identity, you know. He was surprised to find out to what extent gayness was in his blood. He gave us a good laugh. I remember him telling a story about his stay in Sofia. He arrived earlier so he decided to go to the British Council and leave his luggage there. But while roaming in Sofia he got pretty dusty. He also tore his shoe by accident so he had to buy some glue. He sat on a staircase in order to fix his shoe and a man passed by him and threw a coin. Haha, i would love to see that! A similar thing happened to Dimitar and Martin a few years ago- but they took the role of gypsies.:) The next day Martin and he got up quite late. We had to go and knock on their door but they wouldn't leave their beds. Anyway, 30 minutes later they just rushed out of their room. Chavdar asked Martin whether his hair was OK and of course the little wit said it was perfectly fine, which was just the opposite of reality. So when they entered the conference room, everyone started laughing.
Anyway, our schedule was exhausting- from early morning till 11 pm- thanx to these people. We had a lot of group work. On Sunday we were divided into small groups. We had to talk about our nicest identity and then the stereotypes about us. At some point i felt as if i was present at a regular meeting of alcoholics who shared their fears. We really confessed quite a few personal things. I felt much better- knowing that most people face the same problems as me. In the end we burnt the sheets with our stereotypes, lol. So yeah...Niki was honest. I was sincere as well. It was cool- i never thought i could share this with a bunch of completely unknown lads.
On saturday evening we saw Billy Elliot. On Sunday evening we saw Witness- a film about the Amish. Both were interesting but of course Billy's lovely British accent appealed a lot to me. Oh yeah...we also had a professor from Manchester University- Richard who called himself Raicho, which is a funny Bulgarian name.
My suppa-duppa cool roommate ( the model) decided to invite half of the group to spend the night in our room ( of course without asking anyone) so when i entered i found my pillow and everything else stolen. I somehow managed to take a shower in that mess and then i went to sleep in Irta's room. To my greatest delight, at 2 am i saw a film with my favourite Gael Garcia Bernal. Gosh, can an actor be nicer? He's so enigmatic and i just love his Spanish...yummy. The film was called Crimen del padre Amaro, El. I couldn't fall asleep without seeing the whole of it. That reminded me about another of his films Diarios de motocicleta, which i'm seeing soon at any cost. Madrid, Madrid, i just cannot stop thinking about studying there. It would really be a dream-come-true.
Last day... and last line of that entry because i'm getting tired of it.Adios!
