I'm posting a weird thing again which apparently is all made up (just kidding, but true). Anyway, this post will show the "universe" where everything in the
Narrative OC Meme 1 happened (but basically, the /original/ purpose is updating this blog for update's sake).
I actually had this thing in my PC /almost/ rotting in ages; it was just around two or three days ago when I, again, had the interest in fixing stuff. It's brain-twisting actually, writing a Wiki-like info about the "universe" hence it's not yet finished--and final. Everything is still subject to revisions (the last one was yesterday) and yes, (almost) everything sounds so Korean/Japanese/Chinese, don't be surprised. Fixations, damn it. Don't worry, I still have this tendency to switch from Asian to Romantic languages depending on my mood so who knows, I might suddenly change everything to Spanish or Italian or French.
Anyway, not a single character will be mentioned in this post. This is a general info page or sort of, like the background of the country, history (urgh), political structure, government, culture, society, this thing and that thing blah blah. By the way, you can click the photo below to make it larger. Oh well, here it goes:
Gerundon Union
The Gerundon Union (Gerunggo: Hagumi Gerundon; Official name: Gaeyo Hagumi Gerundon Miya, Royal United Gerundon Kingdom) is a confederate monarchy of three monarchical states. The country is composed of two islands, Juyangdon in the east and Jun-gamsok in the west. The first state, Juyangdon, is the most politically important island of the Union. The capital city, Yohwang, which is the seat of government, is located at the northwest of the island. Jun-gamsok, on the other hand, is the most economically important island. It houses the two other monarchical states-Jonggandon and Chinshudon. The regional centers are Sukmu and Chae-ol, respectively.
Juyangdon is divided into 10 prefectures: Bei Sangum, Nam Sangum, Gochobyeok, Bei Ponghan, Nam Ponghan, Bang-oja, Injeok, Sangjyejeok, Suchojeon, and Gyong Yohwang.
Gyong Yohwang is composed of Yohwang, the capital city, and 16 more cities (kyo-mun, sing. kyo). It was formerly known as Nueva Segovia, the name of the city during the Hesperian colonial period until its Declaration of Independence. It is where The Hexagon (Ryogakkei, lit. The Hexagonal Palace) is located which is the official home of the Gaeyo Yoksa or Royal Family. The Gaeyo Jiljang or Royal Assembly is the country’s central legislative body which is also located in the city.
Jonggandon is the second state, the eastern half of Jun-gamsok. It is divided into three prefectures: Sonwong, Sangje, and Sujok Myong. The regional center, Sukmu, located in Sangje, is the financial district of the region. It is the home of the headquarters of almost half of the local and foreign companies and investors in the whole country.
The third state is Chinshudon, the western half of Jun-gamsok. Though considered to be one federal state, Chinshudon is culturally and ethnically divided. The whole of Chinshudon is governed from Chae-ol, which is at the southern part of the state. However, the northeastern region (Iranun, Yakan, and Sangil) is culturally, ethnically, and ideologically different. The conflict began when Hesperia finally had direct control over the whole of Jun-gamsok.
Political Structure
Gerundon Union is a confederate monarchy. It is composed of three monarchical states: Juyangdon, Jonggandon, and Chinshudon, each having their own line of royal family, military force, and law-making body.
Each confederate is divided into prefectures (dohap, pl. dohap-mun) led by a prefect appointed by the king of the respective confederate. Each dohap has its own major city (kyo) surrounded by townships (jong) and villages (chon).
Juyangdon is the main political stronghold of the country. Yohwang, the capital city, located in southeastern Juyangdon, is a dohap in itself divided into sectors (chosek). It is the home of the Central Ruler or Guni Imgum (lit. Great King) who is chosen among the three royal families of each confederate by the Gaeyo Jiljang or Royal Assembly, the country’s central law-making body.
Jonggandon is the economic center of the country, covering the eastern half of Jun-gamsok. It is the smallest but wealthiest confederate. It is divided into three prefectures: Sonwong, the central dohap, Sangjae, the northern dohap, and Sujok-myong, the southern dohap. Unlike Juyangdon, its regional center, Sukmu, is not a prefecture. It is a major city located in Sangjae and is the financial hub of the region. Another major city, Gyongdong in Sonwong, is the home of the monarch of Jonggandon. The city also houses the law-making body of Jonggandon called the Assembly of Lords (Deno-munyi Jiljang).
Chinshudon is the western half of Jun-gamsok. This state is composed of six prefectures: Pin-goong, Sujok-myong, Gyocha, Iranun, Yakan, and Sangil. The regional center, Chae-ol, is located in Gyocha which is also the home of the monarch. Though considered to be one confederate, Chinshudon is divided by culture and religion. The three eastern dohap of Chinshudon, Dongnyok, Gyocha, and Pin-goong, collectively known as the Donggyopin, are known to be faithful to the central government while the remaining three, Iranun, Yakan, and Sangil, are semi-autonomous since majority of their population are of Gang Ryol ancestry, the original settlers and ruling people of the western states before the Hesperian period, thus collectively known as the Gang Ryol region. The government of Chinshudon is known to be in dispute with the Gang Ryol people basically because of conflicting cultural, ethnical, and religious differences. The Gang Ryol region believes that the whole of Chinshudon has to be separated from the Union because “the people of Hesperian origin have no right to take control over their state.” The law-making body of Chinshudon is called the Daoyi Jiljang or the Assembly of Reason, also in Chae-ol.

Okay. That'd be all--for now. The military, cultural, economic, and other similar stuff are either in the process of editing or are still nonexistent so I should stop there. By the way, Karl, Claude, and Leth are from Juyangdon, living at The Hexagon (I think it's given. Karl is a prince and the two are rich kids). Vado and Hathel also live in the imperial court however they are natives of Jonggandon.
