Fall training. Getting ready for second half.

Sep 26, 2007 14:18

It's been six months since my last training program.
Sounds like the start of confession, doesn't it?
First half was challenging and enjoyable. I was primary consultant for David B. and Angela M.
I felt useful to the group and to the trainers. I was kept busy with such a large program, having so many trainees to keep track of.
We started the program with 42, in five groups.
We ended the half with 39, I think.
Tonight second half begins, and after a long wait, I am training my own group this time as a single trainer.
I think it's been at least four years since I have had that opportunity, having been training coordinator for two years plus. I think the last group I trained by myself was the one in which Drew joined the Ear.
Paul H. is coming back and will be my primary consultant for the group this half.
I have much more energy and stamina this time than I had six months ago, which I find encouraging about the improved state of my heart health.
I also gave the alcohol and drugs addiction lecture Saturday afternoon, which reminded me of how much I have to be grateful for, and how glad I am to have nearly 29 years of happy freedom from my own alcohol addiction.

After two days of rest and self care, I am feeling ready for the start of second half, anticipating a worthwhile experience.
