Another acceptable day of writing yesterday. I'm still ahead, which pleases me, and I think I'm starting to get into the groove of getting the words out every day. I find I need a lot of pep talks to keep going, as well as frequent changes of scenery. Yesterday I wrote at my computer, on my bed, in the living room, and at Highland. With a few different pens as well.
I really do fear for my story sometimes; every time I talk about the wider view of it, it changes somewhat, and I almost feel like I can't keep up. I consider the fact that I'm over 25% already and my characters are just now getting to things that are directly plot related and I tremble a bit. I am going to mail my Inner Editor (*spit spit*) to Azerbaijan or something if she doesn't stop yelling at me about telling a "real" story with characters who do more than think a lot and snark back and forth at each other.
Screw the evil Inner E****r. Elisa, Ben, and Erik are going to have their story. Nyah.
Goal for today is 2500 words, which will put me two days ahead, roughly. Since I do have to work, not sure how that's going to go. Course, there is a write in at Highland tonight as well - hurray! Surely I will be vocabutacular there; the last two nights have been productive.
Off to write.
