there are four main theoriests of L2 perception IN THE WORLD, with the top 4 theories.
Two of them are my professors for this class. needless to say, this paper is fun fun fun to write!

PS - i took a writing break, to stretch my legs. sneakers, hoody, Adidas track pants, minimal makeup left over from the morning. stopped at Edgar's cafe on 84th (Edgar Allen Poe Street) and West End. cute guy starts talking to me, asks me to take a walk. 30 minutes later, on Riverside, we discuss Steinbeck's Travels with Charley, and he slips with, "Oh, my wife loves that book, too." then turns completely white and gives me the "oh, shit!" look. i turn and head home to work on my paper.
this is not the first time. apparently, shady dudes can lurk anywhere, even at Zagat's rated cafes on UWS, wearing J.Crew.
