re: Carry On Up This Broken Tide
Hi everyone,
I wanted to make a post officially stating that I've taken down Carry On Up This Broken Tide due to contractual reasons. I've had a lot of people asking about it and asking me to send them PDFs of the story, but quite frankly it's difficult to keep up with those requests since I can get as many as three or four in a day. It adds up after a while and is time that could be better spent writing. I thought that posting a link would be the simplest solution all around, but at this stage I'm more concerned about violating the terms of my contract with my publisher by posting copyrighted work for free.
There will be those among you who have strong feelings about fic being available to readers even after it has been published, and for that reason I've tried to restrain myself from making people feel pressured to buy it instead. (Although, y'know, that is an option, and I added a bunch of new material to keep it interesting.) I do apologize for the inconvenience and am really touched by the enthusiasm towards this story. Your support means a lot! However, I don't think anyone would disagree that being found in contract violation is potentially a far greater (and more expensive) setback. :P
