What a stunning weekend. The weather was fantastic. Spent most of the weekend gardening, cooking and finishing Harry Potter, which by the way was a great book.
Went to two birthday parties Saturday. Dan threw a party for his girlfriend Jackie. Their deck and backyard have become quite impressive. Although all my effort is starting to pay off and our deck and backyard is starting to rival it. After that I went to Kaia and Yessah's, old friends of mine that waited tables when I was a Sous Chef at New World. Yessah's birthday party was quite the affair with some of the best fire dancers I've ever seen. I'm glad to be part of their lives again. Marie, Damian and Mark, also waiters I worked with, were all there too, having also recently regained contact with K&Y. It was quite the reunion. Everyone was so inviting and insistent that we get together again...especially so that we could visit Chi-nam, the matriarch of our family if we ever had one.
