Day Thirty Word Counts

Nov 24, 2017 00:15

Today is a happy and a sad day. It's the last day and happy because you've either reached 50K or are almost there and feel a great weight lifting off of you once you're there. If you are behind, keep writing because you never know how much you'll be able to write, and miracles have happened. I've known someone who had 24K and he wrote 26K on his ( Read more... )

1757 for me today. Closing off this month with 53704. My lowest year, and I think the key reason why I make sure I write the daily amount each day.

When the story is difficult, when life is difficult, just taking it a step at a time, you will get to the top.

I agree. You always have a good pace and like you said, come out on top! Congratulations!

Thank you, and thank you also for keeping with the Day posts. It is appreciated.

I am also thinking I may do a google map plot on where I wrote this year.

1495 written today for a story total of 106,510. Highest word count, had my highest writing day every 11/13...this is a double record-breaking year!

Happy NaNoWriMo, guys! We made it! We survived!

CONGRATULATIONS! Record breaker extraordinaire!

We did more than survived, we LIVED! When people ask us what did we do in November 2017, most people will never be able to answer, most people will scoff "How am I expected to remember that". For us, we can stand proudly and say "We wrote a novel!".

We did! I've already had my dad's cousin ask me via Facebook if I'm planning on sharing my novel. I had to explain that I write a mix of fanfiction, real person fiction, and I blend about 230492384 different fandoms, so really, it's not suitable for any audience. Ever. :D

I always say that I would only share if it makes it to a second draft and explain how this is a very rough first draft.

I remember an established author who once said about an old beta reader from a writing group came up to her, and said that they had not realised how good they were as before they always thought the stories were so bad. They had never read the finished book before and so was based before she made all the corrections that came up in the writing group.
