I was paired up with
mertvyj_gorod for our post-nano interviews. Here are my responses to his questions:
What is your favorite place in the world?
I have two favorite places. Stockholm, Sweden and my home. I spent a few days in Stockholm which added to my love of all things Scandinavian. My house is haven. I find it's one of the most peaceful places I've been.
What kind of books do you like?
I read mostly literary books but I do like just about everything else. Technical books can sometimes be a bore.
What kind of films do you like?
I like well done films the best. :) Except for horror, I'll watch just about anything. One of my favorite movies from last year was "Lars and the Real Girl". I think I see about a hundred movies a year.
Why do you write?
An excellent question. It's easier not to write but I have a lot of thoughts and stories in my head. It doesn't seem fair that they don't get to be shared with other people.
What are your hobbies besides writing?
I read a lot and I like Texas Hold'Em poker. It doesn't matter if I'm watching a game on tv or if I'm playing.
What's the best thing you ever wrote? (Don't be afraid to brag.)
The best thing I ever wrote was an autobiographical poem from a NaNoLJers exercise. I may post it on my site or try to get it published.
What's the worst thing you ever wrote?
Nothing I've written stands out as the worst thing. Isn't that awful? I can usually find one or two things that I like. I used to write almost daily in diaries from the time I was 8 until I was in my 20's. A lot of the older stuff made me cringe. I'm not sure where any of them are now.
