my mellow is so harshed
So, here's a general update:
1) This is my last week at my current place of employment and I am feeling incredibly melancholic. Never been someone who experiences change well, not even when those changes are of my own initiative.
2) Related to the above, one event that is an extra strain on my nerves is the (theoretical, up til now) farewell party. People whom I have not enjoyed working with are demanding that I throw one! People I love are too, but I can't conceive of a graceful way to exclude the former from the latter, if I decide to have one. I'd like to think that I've learned to be more sympathetic and understanding of workplace assholes, but that doesn't extend to paying money for their food and drink while I am being seen off, surely?
3) School stuff is also nearing its zenith. In fact, this is pretty much the last week for that as well.
4) I made a Mexican dinner for a Canadian girl last week. Was expecting more people, but only she came, so there was some waste. We had a good chat nevertheless, although our eventual crunkenness lead to some very cheesy conversation. I find I am a lot more hostile to such cheesiness as I age.
5) Making an effort to read more and play less videogames. That said, I'm currently deeply into Knights in the Nightmare on the DS.
That's it for now, I guess, got more to say, but it's all a jumbled mess right now.
