Keighley, epicentre of the unusual

My office overlooks a stoneyard. Not a place where they quarry stone, mostly a place where they trim large blocks of stone, and then push the dust/dirt thus created around. In the winter, they push a lot of mud around. It is a large stoneyard.

For weeks they have had a mysterious truck, which seems to be drilling, parked in the yard. About two days ago, they struck WATER! A massive gushing jet of water pulsing up higher than the roof of the warehouse. We're not sure if they've drilled into the water pipes; or found a secret reservoir; or maybe entered an alternate, water filled dimension?
They've now put a large, filthy valve type thing and some pipes on it, and have dug out a 'pond', and a trench to the small stream that runs in the bottom of the valley. They've hidden the valve with a couple of pallets tied over it, so they obviously don't want the authorities to know they've got through to the water dimension. If I see blokes in heavy weight dive suits out there next week, I'll let you know. If aquatic humanoids come through, I may not be able to report. It's possible that they may be our new overlords.

It is of course, possible that our building will have no running water tomorrow, but that's just FOOLISH talk.
