Chelsea girl
Today is Chelsea's twenty fourth birthday. It is hard to believe that it has been that long since Heavenly Father sent her to us. It has certainly NOT been an easy route in life, but all in all VERY worthwhile. I have learned tons and hopefully have been able to pass along some of that knowledge to other moms.
Chelsea received a ten dollar bill from her "grandma Ruddell" for her birthday. She took it last night to the dollar store and bought a bunch of trinkets to make party bags for the guests at her party today. We are having a small gathering at papa's pizza today. We chose that location because it is on the bus line and most of her friends are disabled and cannot drive.
Chelsea is super excited. We even found a cute shirt that has 24 on it for her to wear, and last saturday I took her to Daniels (our favorite hairdresser) and he gave her a cute haircut and highlights.
As with the days of all of my children's birthdays, I woke up nostalgic. Being a mother is NOT easy...but it is worth is ...most times...unless of course you are on the receiving end of a phone call from the complaining partner of your marine son..but that is another story for another time....Time to seize the day!
