Name: Kai Yuujirou (甲斐裕次郎)
Journal:
nankaisuru Age: 22
Host type: Smug Type
Reason to host: Good money and people skills.
Appearance: He hasn't changed much other than getting a bit taller really. Kai still keeps his auburn hair strangely frizzled out but it's actually very healthy and soft even when wearing his favorite hat over it. He still has his signature Okinawan tan and has kept well in shape over the years.
Personality: Kai's normally a carefree guy on a day to day basis; he enjoys the simple things and is usually all around laidback; he can actually be downright playful given the right circumstances. To good friends he's nothing but a big pushover most of the time, but he can be equally stubborn too. He has a bit of a temper thanks to his experiences in junior high and has tried to control them a bit more. Instead of lashing out physically or in profanities he tries to calm himself down and grumbles; or shouts to get his point across but is careful with his words-- or at least he tries. It's not as if he was born with a bad attitude, just where most guys are involved.
History: After graduating from Higa Junior High Kai went along with his teammates to the local high school but not everyone continued on in tennis the same as they did in junior high. It was to be expected, they were all growing up and going different paths already. After the brutal training and questionable teachings of their former coach Kai had also begun to question his dedication to tennis. He was afraid of losing his resolve if he tried to go pro, it just didn't feel right or comfortable for him. But then it occurred to him "If that geezer could do it, why can't I?" So breaking from the norm of staying in Okinawa to inherit the family business or become a freeter Kai set his sights on college.
He came to Tokyo to go to college and get a degree in teaching, surprisingly enough, in hopes of eventually becoming a PE teacher or even a coach himself. Of course his parents weren't rich exactly him being a middle child and all so he's had to find work to help pay for everything. What better way than at a host club? His professors had told him he needed to socialize more anyway; can't exactly be a good teacher if you're not willing to go out there and teach. (Or something like that...)

tildanoshima Tag: Tokyo, huh? Big place, lots of stuff going on all the time; no way anyone could ever get bored. His problem? Where the hell was a beach when you needed one! He felt paler every day he was stuck in classes or walking through the shadows of tall buildings every whichway someone looked. How did these people stand it?! Oh right; they were born and raised there or in places like that. Not Kai though, no he longed for that stretch of beach even if he had been left with some not so pleasant memories of the past there-- but hey, the past was the past and it wasn't like it was the beach or ocean's fault his coach was mental.
Tipping his hat up as he moseyed along the streets of the city. Class had let out on his first day in town and now he was on his next mission-- no not beach hunting, surprisingly. Kai had to find a job of some sort to help support himself there. His parents could only help him out with so much so the sooner he started making his own money too the better. His bookbag was still slung over his arm as he continued along; he noticed a group of girls that started eyeing him as soon as he had turned the corner. They were grouped in front of a large building. He was just going to pass by and ignore them when one stepped out toward him pretty boldly.
"Hey there, what's your name?" she asked, an odd glint in her eyes.
The hell..? Since when do women pick up on men; or was Tokyo topsy-turvy like that.
"What's it to ya'?" he snapped back, looking at her strangely. It wasn't like she was particularly bad looking or overly slutty looking. Had he managed to walk into some weird red light district? But that made no sense; it was still broad daylight...
"So I can make a reservation with you next time of course." she giggled as if she wasn't being crazy in his eyes.
"Reservation..? What am I, a table?" He wasn't exactly the smartest with comebacks but it was an awkward thing to be told. Maybe it really was some weird daylight pickup artist who just happened to be a woman... yeah, still made no sense.
Just then another girl popped up who was pulling the other back into the group, or trying to. She didn't seem as daring but gave Kai that odd look as if he was a piece of meat or something. Her friend tried to shoo her back in line until she spoke up.
"You're not one of the hosts here are you?"
"Hosts?" He felt like a stupid parrot repeating things but these girls were just not making sense to him.
"That is," she began again, trying to make sure her friend stopped her advancing eyes on him, "You don't work here at Midori Senzai do you?"
Kai shook his head much to the first woman's dismay, "And he was so hot too, I would have changed my reservation plans in a heartbeat..." she murmured as she was lead back to the building by her friend.
'Host... reservation...' After the girls disappeared he strolled back toward the building to see what all the fuss was about. It didn't take too long for him to realize this Midori Senzai place was a host club and it looked like they were hiring. A host club huh? Why not give it a shot; he knew he could at least get one customer if he did and money was money. Sounded kind of fun too and hey, he needed to start meeting people anyway, even if he ran into more... odd women. But c'mon, getting money for entertaining girls couldn't be that bad!
Anything else? Kate's playing a Teni boy, run away it's the end of the world~ (And I apologize for the fail tag I'm not used to him quite yet...)
