Hmm… if I'm going to be honest, I only like this song for the choreography. Even though it's incredibly unsatisfying now because Ryo and Ohkura are like the two most easily embarrassed guys in the group, so they don't even touch each other.
I love his butt. At least he has one. Ryo is losing in hotness to Ohkura for this entire concert.

This is all kinds of offensive. The thing is, Japanese people don't understand certain parts of racism; they're still kind of anxious around foreigners (the old and middle-aged, anyway) and they don't seem to get that darkening your face (I haven't seen anyone do blackface, but I'm sure at least one person has) to imitate another race is NOT OKAY. The thing I don't get is why the song title is his Chinese name but the VTR uses Native Indians...
I forgive Maru because he's too cute and I know that he wouldn't purposely make fun of other races.
I think it's hilarious that all these huge juniors/veterans are dancing for this very childish song.

I love how Hina's just wearing a tracksuit. I'm sure he told the stylists, "I'm going to wear this" and since they hardly ever perform in costumes without some kind of sparkle, someone probably added a few lines of crystals just so that he shines. Also notice the "I came from Nagoya" uchiwa in the front row. Girl, Nagoya is NOT that far from Osaka. I'm sure there are fans who travelled from Hokkaido or Okinawa to be there.
Yasu must be so hot in those clothes.
TatSu head banging. It always makes me smile when I see the guys drop by to head bang or just smile at Tatsu while he plays the drums. It's like they understand that he can't easily move around, so they go to him instead.
He's absolutely breathtaking when he's in the zone.

We had a tour and for the fans who love us, we really thought about how they could enjoy our performances. This year, we had a series of single releases and we were able to hold a Countdown live. We were able to do this thanks to all of you. Thank you very much. I'm honestly not that good at singing but I've got members who'll gently support me and I'm really thankful for them. Idiotic things… well, we try our best. Seriously, we love being idiots and we try our best, we love music and I think that this kind of Kanjani 8 is warm. Really, thank you very much. Final impressions
Countdown is strange for me because it's totally a straightforward concert. I do, however, appreciate just how much of the concert they're singing live. The unit section is probably my favourite because of the songs, and I love how much the older juniors get to just have fun. Otherwise, I don't really have a lot of high praise for this because I live for their MC bits and this DVD has no bonuses (I'm not knocking it for that reason, just stating fact). Also, if you notice, I have caps for nearly every single song, but the best thing about Countdown is that it's a collection of songs they want to perform. I think I skipped maybe one or two.
I wish Ryo didn't look so tired! Well, he was still in NEWS at this time, so his workload must have been awful because 2x the groups, end of the year, filming, K8 shows (Janiben, MAP)...
