You know when there's a problem that's not really a problem, but it bugs you anyway? That's where I'm going with this.
So I posted a new chapter of the zombie fic on ff.net. *Post it in my lj in a little bit, just don't feel like it right now* and I noticed that the total length is 43,000+ words. Huh, I'm not even half-way on the story. Anyway, HoE is longer than that, by a lot. I don't know how much, since I haven't put it in a word counter or anything. I can't help but feel surprised and daunted by how big they're both getting.
I never set out on writing so much, it's just how it came out. I had made it a habit to re-read a large chunk of the previous story to carry the right flow, but now I'd have to dedicate more than a day straight to get through it all.
I know, I know. It's like I'm complaining that I have too much cake.
It's not even the writing, really. I'm just stressed out over other things unrelated to it, but the writing I have control over.
So let's rewind. Large chunk of HoE written, but not complete. Instead I'm writing post-apocalyptic world, because it fits my mood.
Also, bite-sized drabbles, to keep the practice going.
Mentioning that, first three fic requests get whichever story they want, within reasonable length. Rating from G to NC-17. Go anonymous if you like. As long as it's not scat, pedo nor snuff, we're good.
I need a break from hunters and fighters being captured and forming relationships.
