Cake pops == cake wrecks

This is my first Easter holiday attempt to catch up with the dozens of posts I've been meaning to make and have had no time to write.

About a year ago, Humuhumu found an American cookbook called "Cake Pops" for 50p in the second-hand bookshed at our local National Trust place. She was mostly attracted by the photos of beautifully crafted ( Read more... )

More of a fridge cake thing. You make the sponge, let it cool, crumble it up, and mix it with copious amounts of icing. Form it into balls and chill it for a couple of hours, then dip into the melted chocolate.

They look very delicious - I have a book that includes making cake-pops and have still not tried it, so well done to you/her for actually making them.

It was mostly the bloke, to be fair. He tried to get the children involved but had better luck with me, haha.

Indeed. It was a struggle to ration them, but the children managed it heroically so they could have one each every day for a week.
