Lol, I love the idea of one-downmanship! Cool that these places have logs of visitors past though! And they genuinely sound like nice places to get away from the busyness of the every day.

They really are. We're currently on a hillside in a remote village, and as the storm has now been lashing at it for 48 hours and counting, we haven't seen or heard a single car go past. Everyone is holed up, I think!

Thank you! So far today we have achieved: eating breakfast, having a bath, and reading books. The only variant with the children is instead of reading, they've made a lot of progress in "Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee".
