A starlit night

(by Connie Campbell Bratcher)

Did you ever, on a starlit night,
Lift up your voice to sing,
And discover every star above
Is praising your great King?
Yes, each little twinkle in the sky
Shouts glory to His Name…
Lifting our hearts to heaven above
In praise to Him who came.

Oh, friend, did you ever look above
And simply want to shout?
As we view the beauty of the sky,
How could we ever doubt?
May our lives shine forth in this dark world,
That needy souls would see…
The light of Christ, our Lord and Savior,
Living in you and me.

Jesus said: “I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
(John 8:12; Matt. 5:16)
