I have been saying goodbye to some of the closest friends that i have ever had recently. It is so much harder when someone else leaves too, not only are you far away from home, but you know that those you care about are no longer home and that you cant go back to them anytime you want. I cant believe some of these people are leaving/left. I feel like they are still sitting in their rooms, there for me to call and hang out with. The reality of it has hit me, i have put it off but now the feeling is overwhelming. I refuse to believe that this is goodbye, that this could possibly be the last time we are together as good friends and that we will now go our completely separate ways. But sometimes i think that to admit that it is goodbye would be too much pain all at once, it must dawn upon us slowly. As long as i keep telling myself that its not goodbye, that we can remain friends, the sudden break of the friendship will be postponed as it slowly slips away. I guess that this is the nature of things: life is constantly changing, nothing ever stays the same for long and to try to make it is pointless. All we can do is try our best, cling to our friendships and make the extra effort until we no longer need to, and if in the end they are still there after all of this, then we will know that nothing can break them.
Good Riddance
Green day
Another turning point
A fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist
Directs you where to go
So make the best of this test
And don’t ask why
It’s not a question
But a lesson learned in time
It’s something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
So take the photographs
And still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf of
Good health and good time
Tattoos of memories
And dead skin on trial
For what it’s worth
It was worth all the while
It’s something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It’s something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It’s something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
