Garden!!!

Okay, so the pea plants are going bonkers. They're beginning to climb the netting I put in for them, albeit with some coaxing. The "salad box" is beginning to resemble a salad - its still microgreens, but I anticipate getting to start picking from it in the next few weeks.

The rhubarb roots I planted last year survived the drought followed by freeze followed by very mild winter; there are at least 3 BIG leaves per plant and I anticipate it producing more as the days progress. The Kale & Broccoli plants I planted are growing at varying rates... Some have been chewed by snails or slugs, but not killed. So i'm hoping for edible brassicas all the way through December this year.

Still have not rebuilt the Giant Planter Box; although I did pick up 4 new wheels to install on it. Which will leave me with 3 slightly used wheels. As long as they're not rusted, I should be able to re-use them in some entertaining project.

Clematis & Peonies are looking like they may actually bloom for me this year. Orange mint is producing a decent amount of new growth; I really need to transplant it & start cooking with what I clip from it.

I've moved my window box to the front porch; found a set of brackets that allow me to hang it from the railing so it drips overflow water onto the peas. Should be amazing in july... front porch covered with producing peas, trying to overrun a window box planted with Catmint, thyme, summer savory & lemon balm.

Also got some sun today. I'm enjoying telling people i'm under doctors orders to get a tan this summer. Which i'm wondering if its going to be another long, hot, dry one like last year...
