Now the store is gone and we can't meet there anymore

I finally caved in and listened to Blake's new album Heartbreak On Vinyl - it's a brilliant album entirely in my taste, really really lovely. It's impossible to pick a favourite track.

Which is why I wish I could get past my extreme personal irritation towards him and just enjoy the album for the 45 minutes or so it lasts. But I just. Can't.

It's easier listening to this album than ADD though. I almost can't stand listening to that, so many memories come bubbling to the surface, memories which I've come to see in a different, more harsh and cynical light.

Anyway, I'd recommend the album to anyone who's a fan of catchy 80's-reminiscent synthpop. It IS brilliant.

ETA: And now I've had it on repeat for hours and hours and can honestly say I LOVE it unconditionally. Except for a couple filler tracks like Remedy. This has been a good excercise in putting stupid shit behind me, and separating the artist from the private person.

I've also been listening to Theo Tams' album - it's LOVELY. Wait For You and Manhattan Blue - OH MY GOD. ♥
