Back and stinkier than ever!
So after some absence caused by nothing other than complete malaise, I do have things to report. I don't even remember what was up last time I posted so I shall just start with 2 weeks ago.
I Started the week with a lovely 101 fever just one of those crohns related but no other reason behind it sick days. I was on my ass sick for 2 days. But I was feeling pretty decent when I took Tylenol. Then I had a nice visit from
screamingdolai only when she left she got into a car accident. I still being sick sent my hubberella to stay with her till her Huberella came. Thank goodness she was ok.
Later last week my cousin's 11 year old son Zach stayed over for 2 nights and we thoroughly entertained him...first I told him how to cheat on an online game he was playing then we played Simpson's Operation. The 2nd day of his stay we gently broke the news that SportsWorld was no longer standing and quickly made him forget all about it by bringing him to Dave and Busters. He loved it and he loved winning the tickets to get crappy prizes. It is really nice to spend time with kids when they adore you, now that he is getting older it is harder for me to keep up but I guess all the time I was there when he was smaller gives me an edge. We topped off the day by bringing him to Legal Seafood where he ordered lobster off the Kid's Menu. The night was still not over no!Especially when your best friend
tinkerkelly works at Godiva so close to home. So, to sum up we fed him to as close to before puking range with lobster and chocolate as possible & let him stay up till 1 in the morning no wonder he likes coming over. I really enjoy having him or his sister over it gives me a chance to feel responsible and yet still have fun.
So the other thing that happened is that my Hubby's car died. It was a 98 Honda civic EX. He bough it new, and although he was messy inside sometimes it was always impeccably cared for mechanically. I think it was the dealer's fault, but they said they would give us a deal and put in a used engine with over 100,000 miles for the bargain price of 2200. Well that took a whole 2 second not to do. We said could you extend your dealing to us getting a different car?--Sure!-They say(just give them a few days notice and in the meantime use their nasty loaner car) So we went yesterday and they totally wasted our time they had no selection and the service there sucked. So we took much delight when we bought a Honda from a different dealer yesterday. It is really nice. It is a certified pre-owned 2004 honda Accord EX V6 with leather and navigation and heated seats and dual climate control. It is fully loaded and really nice and I think I haggled them to a respectable price. We got an extended warranty so that we can get rental car reimbursement and roadside assistance. I am as happy as someone who has just spent a lot of money can be. I hate to take money out of our house account but what can you do. Now here's hoping my car will last another year or so.
SO those were the main things. I know I am forgetting something but I can't think of what. I can't imagine that this post was particularly entertaining to anyone else so I will leave on a funny anecdote:
2 fridays ago hubby and I went to a lovely dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. I had a really nice night and as we walked out felt really giddy...and this conversation followed:
Nanee: I had really nice dinner (grabs hubby's hand) let's make out
(Hubby leans over and gives a little peck on the lips)
Nanee: That's it?that's not making out!..you love me but, you don't "lust" me anymore!
Hubby: yes I do..I grabbed your ass before!
Nanee: yes you did but that's not enough girls like kissing!
Hubby: Okay then I'll kiss your ass!
I just thought that was comical ---he is a clever quiet man(apologies kelly I Know you heard it already)
