More movies to watch (Silver Screen), this list keeps getting longer and longer, not unlike my DVDs list.

Added American Dreamz - US President is special judge on talent scouting show (read: American Idol) hosted by Hugh Grant's character. Also added Friends with Money - Catherine Keener (Capote, The Interpreter - man didn't even realise it was her) is in it and I couldn't quite remember where I'd seen Joan Cusack so checked imdb.com and had a "ah ha!" moment when I saw "The School of Rock" listed in her filmography. But I'm sure I've seen her in something else. Or maybe it's because she looks similar to this Hong Kong actress I know of.

In other news, I saw Arj Barker last night at The Capitol Theatre (lovely place by the way, best feature would be its ceiling). I'd been told he wasn't funny at all by friends who went and saw him last year. I'd never heard of him and went solely because another friend wanted to see him. We'd snagged a good spot - close to the front of the queue - when the fire alarm went off and everyone who was already inside, in the middle of other shows, had to evacuate and we who were lining up had to clear the area! So much for lining up early. Still we ended up sitting in the middle so it turned out okay.

Anyhow I don't know if it's because my friends have a completely different sense of humour to me or because the material Arj used was new, but I found him incredibly funny. As did the other four friends I went with. There was this great moment where he made references to predictive text knowing only about half the audience would understand (ie those who use it) and the other half would go "huh?" Good stuff. The best moment though was when a guy threw underwear onto the stage. At first I thought it was planned but the expression on Arj's face was utter surprise, I found that more funny than the actual underwear. It completely threw him off, took him nearly five minutes to get back on track but he used it well by cracking jokes about underwear and about what was written on the ones thrown on stage.

On a side note: Li & Francis didn't realise the show was on that late before handing over their money. Doesn't anyone read emails properly anymore?!? d=
