Once again I'm reclining in my blue chair in the upper room. The cloud outside is sitting on the earth. it's quite interesting when you can do stuff within a cloud! Anyway, it's foggy out and looks lovely.
I want to sit in my car beside the pond, maybe walk over to Iceberg pond. I imagine there are ducks living in Iceberg pond against the hills. There usually are a pair of wood ducks or hooded mergansers living in there.
I never did see the northern migrating bay ducks on their usual migratory stop off on the river where they wait for it to get warm enough to head further north. Here are some of the varieties that migrate together and fill the endge of the river where it meets the ice.
The northern shoveller,
the northern pintail
Ring necked duck,
bufflehead ducks
American Wigeon
Tufted Duck
Red headed Ducks,
Lesser Scaup
Common goldeneye
and other bay ducks.
