Leaves on the rose garden, tarp on the veranda

There is a lot of grass that is growing up in the rose bushes beside the Lane Tipi. I opened each of the plastic bags of leaves that Willem brought home on Thursday and dumped them out on the back of the rose garden, under and around them and all the way over to the south side of the tipi.

The crown vetch has taken over on the hill and encroached all the way down onto the lane and into the roses. So hopefully with a foot of leave on there, that will get rid of the grass. I do hope it works.

The car is full of paper bags filled with leaves. Abe brought one bag over to me, but the rest are still in the car and are pretty heavy for me to carry. I hurt my back bending slightly to untie the plastic bag knots. I did put a few of them up on the chair, but the damage was already done.

I put a tarp over the veranda roof, too. That wasn't too easy to do, but it's up there now. It only covers half of the veranda cos I pulled it too far, but it's tied at all four corners now. The snow should be able to slide right off the roof.

However, the bottom of the roof, the west side, is not well supported anymore. Any snow will collapse that end of it, I reckon. Oh well.

That whole end of the house by the sunroom is such a disater. I did dump a container out and put a lid on it, though. There is so much out there to deal with! I suppose most of it should just go to the dump.

I am back up in our room, in my own little corner in my own little chair where I can be whatever I want to be! I'm marking scriptures that go with the He Did Deliver me from Bondage book.
