Dinner and teaching with the elders, A quilt from Avva for leaf bag removal

I stopped by Independent and then Giant Tiger for things for dinner. I worked away in the kitchen making lentil stew. By the time the elders came, it was ready, except the lentils seemed to need just a bit more time.

We had a nice meal. Abe came in from the Plateau Tipi and ate with us. They are such nice elders. They are so young!

I took them to Deer Meadow Ridge Top where they could see how our land is like a W. They also peeked into the tipi, which smelled like smoke, so I suggested they didn't go in there.

Afterwards, Willem and took the empty leaf bags back to Avva. She was so grateful that I'd taken them that she took me inside and gave me a quilt she'd made! I couldn't believe it. She makes tons of them she said, then gives them away. I felt so honoured! I gave her back the dozen or so bags I'd folded after Willem had emptied them onto his pondside garden.

We accompanied the elders to visit a couple who are studying with them. I love her, she's such a wonderful person! It's always so nice to be over there. I love talking about the gospel and explaining what I know to people who don't yet know the same things.

It's so nice to have this opportunity. It really strengthens my testimony to talk about it with others. I know these things are true that the missionaries teach. It's nice to watch them and see how they teach with the spirit and listen to it before responding to questions and concerns.
