When I woke up at 6, I got ready to go to Alida's. It took me awhile, longer than it used to. I had to figure out what to wear. I don't have clothes that are for this temperature, so I mix a long sleeved blouce with a short sleeved dress. It works well enough.
It was too early to go to Avva's for the leaves. It wasn't going to rain till noon, so it was safe enough to go to Alida's across the road, first. I stopped and bought her a drink and some muffins on the way.
Desmond was up and playing with Mommy. She has brought out his thin paged books, hoping he will be careful with them. He has been climbing a lot, on the back of the couch, on the piano bench, onto the gates...so she has to watch him like a hawk now. Thus, she also can watch the pages books at the same time to make sure he doesn't rip any.
I uploaded some videos of him. 11:20am

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfkIUXXSzSM I need to go back and edit them, though. I played with him for awhile, then went across the road to Avva's.
She opened her garage for me and I loaded up 17 tall paper bags of colourful maple leaves into my little Toyota Matrix.
I brought them home and stopped at the house. Willem greeted me at the door, then came down to the pond garden with me. We dumped them out into piles.
They look very nice. The whole garden will be about a foot deep in leaves, I think!
I drove back over there and saw Abe as I backed into Avva's lane. I gave her back the 19 paper bags we'd emptied and flattened back out again. She had 8 more bags ready for me, but it had started raining, so I knew it wasn't a very good idea to take anymore bags today and have to keep them in the car until tomorrow or somewhen.
I went back and played with desmond again. He was sorting his Dr. Seuss books by colour and so thrilled to have them and to say the colours. He laid them out on the floor like tiles.
Alida had a nap so I spent the hour or so playing zoom with him and taking him off the chair he was climbing up on. He finally settled down when I showed him himself on my ipod in a video from yesterday. He corrected video Desmond baby and said 'Nineteen old' when the baby hadn't said it in the video! He was quite enthralled. He liked seeing Mommy, but then when she was out of the video he was a bit upset.
He bumped into the corner of the piano as he pressed around me when we were looking for my fallen iPod. Poor dear. He was certainly ready for a nap.
I sent him to knock on Mommy's door at noon when she'd wanted me to wake her up. He couldn't figure out which room she was in. He looked in his bedroom, then in the bathroom, but he didn't seem to know the word for the room Mommy and Daddy slept in.
I left when she put him down for his nap and gave Abe a ride home.
