Day out with Lida

We had a wonderful time. I went for a walk with Desmond around the park where we stopped on the wooden bridge which echoed when we stomped on it.

He held my hand the whole time. On the gravelly path he stooped down to pick up some stones. He got his hands dirty, which I called messy. He's learned that messy is something he doesn't like.

It surprised me that the bridge over the river is not childproof like the railings that our code now requires. I was especially careful to hold onto him tightly as we walked across the tumultuous rapids.

We walked back and forth over the childproof echoey bridge many times.

He wanted to go his own way but I said let's go find mommy which made him want to go back to the car and stay on the path! That was a good idea.

She was still in her appointment, so I put on some music from conference. It was tell me the stories of Jesus. It was very peaceful. It was time for his nap, so we figured if he slapped now and on the way to Ottawa he might get enough sleep. So we drove around the block a few times.

We went to a few stores In Kanata. Elijah bought him a tricycle.

Boy the bells and whistles on these new tricycles amaze me! There's a handle on the back, see you can control where the toddler goes. His feet don't reach the pedals yet. She was concerned that there was no seatbelt on the tricycle. There are fancier models where you can even control the steering! It's amazing how things have changed in 25 years!

Desmond book up Elijah was in the toy store, so I got out the stroller and put him in it. In the store, you saw the polar bear and Ward right away. We took him around to see if the giant elephant. He loves animals!

We went to eat at scores next door to the toy store.

They had an amazing salad bar! For $10 you could have all kinds of Mediterranean, Greek, Canadian blood. Plus the soup.
and also to Home Depot. We were gone for the whole day. I had so much fun with Desmond!.
