After deciding that she couldn't go with me to Georgia for a week, Maryjane agreed to come here for the weekend. As soon as she said she could, I jumped in the car and headed to pick her up.
We had an awesome ride together. We always enjoy our time together. She's the most awesome friend I've ever had. We have the same beliefs, which is so wonderful. We both try to live by the promptings of the Spirit, which gives us so much in common, so much to talk about.
We have been friends since 1977. That's almost 40 years. That's amazing. Our children grew up together.
She hasn't ever been here in the winter when there's snow on the ground. So it's wonderful to be able to show her the hills, how they are defined against each other when there are no leaves on the trees and now that there is snow on the ground. It even amazes me, when I see the definition of the edge of the hill that we live on.
We arrived home, but before we got here, we stopped by a house for sale, one she has made an appointment to see. It's a lovely little bungalow, on the edge of the lake, which is a river. We stopped by there and drove along the road. It is a narrow little private road. It goes up and down and up and down, and around hills with amazing views. Huge rock monoliths are everywhere. The views from the road over the lake are wonderful, too.
I hope she moves here! That would be so awesome. It would give the cottage destination for her children. They always had a cottage they went to when they were growing up, but now it has been sold, so this would be a new place for them to raise their own children, coming up on weekends and in the summer.
If she moves here, I would have a close friend at church! It would be awesome to have her here. She's such an example. She knows the scriptures so well and teaches out of them. I just love discussing them with her.
