My day with the birds, the snow and my world and Les with the grout
Willem and I went to the pond today where I ranted for awhile about what was on my mind. Then I was all better and we came back up to the house. I love sitting in Jopi Tipi! It's such a nice place.
Les came today. He made a nice step in the doorway. It's the piece you step on as you go through a door. He also worked on grouting the tiles in the new shower stall. I love that it's got a shower in there now! Yippee! I have to drill holes for the screws to go through the tiles. Geepers, how did I forget that!
Les is taking the rest of the week to work on Liisa's house. I have to get the kitchen ready for him by Monday morning. That's our last room to work on.
I have been trying to upload all day long. I want to get so many of these videos off my devices. I'm so far behind it's impossible!
I wanted to go for another walk, but the wind was so fierce and the weatherman said it was -30 with the windchill. Frostbite warning.
I love our upstairs. I feel like we have an apartment up here. I love the cozy bedroom, the room of requirement, where today I sat and watched the sun move across the streamside alders, Kingfisher Lane, Fiddlehead Pond and Hilltop deer café. When it was only shining down Dead Man's Run, I moved to the large room where I basked in the sun coming in the roofside window. The chickadees were visiting the feeder inches from my hand.
In the room of requirement, I required birds to come and eat out of my hand, which they did. Then I filmed the grouse in the treetop, balancing precariously on the tiny twigs at the end of the branches, pecking the buds off for a hearty meal. Such a lovely bird. His camouflage is impeccable!
The yard lights were on for me to enjoy as I sat and watched Gilmore Girls. I finished the first season and made a good stab into the second season.
I had such a great time with Maryjane. She's such an awesome friend! The deer came and ate this morning while I watched. It was Underbite. She was here alone.
The bowls of food are eaten again. I moved the ladder this morning and unburied the thermo-meter.
I love the low lighting in here, it's so cozy. It's going to be cold tonight -22, I think. -6F. Bitter.
I gotta stop eating in the evenings. No good. I'm knitting my third pair of green socks. I gave the tall ones to Maryjane cos they stay up on her legs but fall down mine. So I only have one pair of green and one pair of orange. So this green pair i'm working on is several inhes above the ankle now. Good, making progress.
