The back door lock has failed. The door won't open. The bolt part is stuck in the shut position. I took it apart. It fell on the outside and I'm on the inside

I Can Relate...

A couple of years ago we went through extensive kitchen and bathroom renovations. I hired a worker who stretched the misery out for 6 months and then I had to hire someone else to do stuff the other guy was incapable of doing. That took another 2 weeks during which time we were w/o a toilet for 2 days and had to stay in a hotel. We had to bathe using a 5 gallon bucket for a week and a half; my kitchen floor was torn up; the bathroom floor was torn up; all the plumbing was completely ripped out; the doors were off of my cabinets, cupboards and pantry and everything was removed for painting; all the appliances were pulled out and disconnected; an exterior wall was completely ripped out, etc..., etc... etc... Like you, I had EVERYTHING pulled out into the middle of the floor for the entire 6+ months and we were having to live AROUND the mess. Very difficult to live that way and I was very depressed more times than I can count. I couldn't find anything when I needed it and it felt like my house would NEVER be back to 'normal'. I was (as usual) in constant pain, and it seemed like it was all more than I could deal with. Still, I survived it and you will too. God knows our limits. He will never give us more than we can handle. It may sometimes seem like He has, but one day you will look back and thank Him for giving you the grace and strength to survive it all... and just think of the wonderful home you will have to live in when it's all said and done!! I'm praying for you, Nancy... Still hoping to get to see the finished project soon! Call me if you need some encouragement... :0) Your Friend, Renee Daigle

You really lived through a lot, didn't you! It's been seven months now. I think I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I have downsized a lot with all the pulling things out from the walls. There is still more stuff left than I can find room to store or even hide in a closet!
