I got up early. I heard Alida talking to the baby when I went downstairs. They came out and I got to hold him and take him outside to see the flowers like we did yesterday. It's so nice to see the flowers!

Alida and Jean came out and relaxed by the flowers, too and had their morning coffee. Alida weeded in the perennial bed and all around it so it is very pretty and clean-looking now!

Jean loaned me the use of his very strong muscles. He dug six holes on the far side of the berm fence. I planted the hydrangeas that came from beside the sunrom. Abe had been planting them but didn't like chopping onto the roots of the trees and other plants.

Jean also dug holes on the Perennial Slope side of the fence. I dug up some roses and transplanted them. I wasn't sure what else I should plant down there. He dug more holes for me around the edge of the beds I see from the dining room window.

The plants looked so nice around the chairs in the dining room, it was a shame to move them to the garden!
