Warm enough to be outside!

It's room temperature out here! Amazing! I just got home from church. I drove slowly, filming all sorts of spring thaw water and transitions. It was a lovely drive. Of course, the best was when I got home and could walk in the Pond Lane to Willem's garden. I discovered the pond was emptying into the marsh, or Canary Meadow. Horrors! So I piled rocks on the flattened grass where the overflow was occurring.

The waterfall is roaring, but has filled the meadow with water, so can only be seen from a great distance now! I should have hip waders, I suppose!

There is quite the cleanup needed around here! The basketry harvest tipi fabric has fallen down and one of the poles is broken!

I have about decided to use planks for flooring the house. Mary says I should have them planed before putting them down. She's probably right, but they will likely cost double the price!

I hdar the bluebirds! They are back now! April 13th! In two weeks the warblers will also return! I love being outside, but I must say, there is an overwhelming amount of stuff to clean up and to put into the car to take to the dump!

What happened to doing things one small bite at a time? I gorgot about doing that! That's such a better way to do it!

Here at the tree bench ammock, I'm surrounded by dried deer droppings. Nice fertilizer for the ground! We've never had that here before! They don't venture up the steep hills to the house ueually!

today is warm enough that the black flies could hatch tomorrow! unbelievable! it's warmer outside than it is inside today! I can now access parts of the garden that I couldn't get to without snowshoes before.

I have many logs lying all about the garden today. They are prat of the teacup trail but not yet planted and without teacups on top!

I'm glad Willem and I take separate cars. I can come home right after church and not have to wait for him!
