Spa time and a real shower!!

I had just called Karen the adjustor and was trying to stress my point about the fault being the restoration company. Ginny and I were waiting at the spa for her to get her eyelashes dyed. I looked through the brochure and for $25 I could have a foot soak and massage. How lovely that sounded!

I sat in a massage chair with my feet in lovely swirling soapy water. The esthetician then massaged them, but didn't do the callus removal as that's part of the other plan.

It was so relaxing, I felt like falling asleep in the chair. It took my mind totally off all the problems we are facing in our house at the moment. I had no idea how stressed I was until I was relaxing! Gee, such a difference!

I had forgotten to bring along my ipod, or I would have filmed Ginny having her eyelashes dyed!

When I went to the washroom afterwards, with a callus scraper paddle I'd just bought, thinking I'd just sit and do my feet now that they were all soft and massaged, I discovered a shower in the bathroom.

There was a dispenser of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel on the wall. I stood and looked at it for a few moments: should I? Could I? In another moment, I was shampooing my hair. It felt sooooo good to have a shower! It was just what I needed! How lovely to finally be getting clean. Two weeks or more since I'd had one at Linda's in Brampton. Cold sponge baths just don't cut it!

There were also towels rolled up in a basket. Perfect.

I sat on the bench and scrubbed off the thick cracking calluses on my feet. It was wonderful to get rid of those things! I had sat in the living room and given myself a foot bath a week go or so, but this was even better!
