Abe got the fire going this morning when he got up. He has been making great campfires lately. I picked him up in Ottawa on Sunday. We came home and he got the fire going while I worked with Matt and Ginny a bit, hovering mostly.
Willem and Abe hung out in the tipi that evening. All day MOnday the fire was going while Matt and Ginny worked on the upstairs hallway floor.
All day Tuesday he kept the fire going. It's a great spot for him, where he an be alone and keep the fire going, and do whatever he wants to do in there. Ginny and Willem and I would pop in from time to time and relax in there with him.
He roasted hotdogs from time to time. It was so nice to have the fire going on.
There is a big pile of soil in there. Willem put it in the tipi for me when he emptied all of his buckets he had used for his wicking garden experiment. It froze when it soaked up the water that had melted in there, then froze solidly. We have been scraping it and getting it into the garden beds around the tipi.
Ginny had some good ideas about how to fix up the problems with the tipi. I know I have a lot of work to do in there. Mostly the windows need replacing.
