my challenges and solutions

Feb. 28, 2014 Friday

After sleeping at Linda's after a day of working in the temple, we are on our way back over to the temple this morning. I woke up early worrying about my kids, all five of them, actually, well, Daniel not so much.

Finally I started fb'ing with Josh in Australia. He said when he was in high school, he would get in trouble for watching my videos during school, hidden in his silent reading time book!

He's going to send me his camcorder that he has replaced! It's got a still setting, for automatically stopping recording when movement stops and then starting again like a motion sensor. Soundsp erfect for filming the deer! Yippee! I can't believe somene would do that for me! I'll send him some soap. An imperfect exchange.

I took a shower this morning. So nice to finally get a shower. The last one I had at Alida's a week or more ago. The one before that was at Ben's. Actually the two before that were at Ben's.

I have so much challenge on my plate at home.

1. totally destroyed downstairs from the flood in Jan or Feb.
2. one child pressuring me to help another
3. worries about the other
4. another child not coping incredibly well with her last few weeks of labour
5. no plumbing except a toilet and now a tap in the living room

Is that all? Seems like there were more problems than that.

It's no wonder I sit and watch the deer all day!

We are at the temple. EVen that isn't overcoming my bummer mood. But I did take shower. I woke up at 5, though and couldnt get back to sleep till I put the lives of all my kids in the hands of the Lord. I'm good as long as I ignore all of their problems. I can't do anything about any of it, except stress over it. All the figuring out doesn't change anything for any of them.

So I will just enjoy the temple. I'm not gtting much out of it this time, though. Perhaps I have to turn my problems all upside down and see the good in them.

I dreamed I was going to take a shower but there were many people who arrived at Linda's. I turned the shower on to warm up, got distracted and when I got back someone was in the bathtub.

I finally woke up and got up and took a shower. We have arrived at the temple an hour early.

So I'm sitting here. Perhaps some prayer is in order! Gee, who woulda thought!

Turn these things around:

1. We are getting new plumbing and new floors and we don't have to pay for it at all!
2. The kids are taking care of each other.
3. Everyone has to go through trials to appreciate what they have, inluding me.
