I used to be able to just write my morning pages without edit, but when your life is filled with family and friends, you have to be more circumspect. I guess when the kids were little, it didn't matter so much, but now they are all grown.
I realize now, that my body ailments are quite tied to my emotions. Getting so emotional at Mom's the other day lowered my resistance so I caught this bug. I knew when my mom was sick the next day that it was from the emotional stuff. It didn't hit me for a few days later, but also got Willem. So was it the bug since Willem got it?
Perhaps it was just the bug. Perhaps Lori's family had it, returned a few days after to Mom's, gave it to her and she gave it to me and I gave it to Willem. Perhaps we all caught it because of our emotional state having worn us down.
Part of me has a lot of fear about driving north. There is storm Hercules which is still in the northeast. There is Ion on its heels with another storm.
I don't want to drive in the snow, not in the south where the equipment is lacking. Not in the north where the traffic is horrendous. I don't want to take back roads and be driving for tons longer. I forget that we can just go to a motel if we hit bad weather. It will cost, but we will be safe. I'm so grateful we have been staying here while we were sick. I'm also feeling badly about bringing germs into their home. I don't want to take germs to anyone else's on the way north, either.
I-75 goes straight north from here, but then we enter into southern Ontario. I don't want to drive through the snowbelt corridor in the midst of the great lakes! However, we could stop in Brampton and work in the temple if we do that.
I wanted to be home for Ben around the 4th. That's not going to happen now, as that was yesterday already!
If we go north on 75, we go through the mountains, but perhaps could stop and meet Sonja on the way and stop in to see Pat. Sonja's a potter. I'd love to see her work and learn from her! But then we are driving north through the Midwest sortof. The weather seems worse there.
Well, that was eye-opening. Both I-75 and I-81 have good weather this week. I could select the day and the interstate on the weatherchannel.com and see how it all looks each day, daily pop. Looks good from tomorrow on. So either way is fine.
I'm still not sure what I want to do about which way we are going.
