Going home
Tomorrow we are leaving Mom's. I'm quite happy to go. It's too much of a routine changer for us to be here. I think it was too much of a routine changer when I left other times. Now going will help her return to the familiar.
We were going to stay for another two weeks, originally, but with demands at home and Mom's condition and my health, it's better to go sooner than later.
I'm so glad she's in good hands. So very glad. I couldn't go on that way anymore, spending most of the year here caring for her. Now I think I will be able to let go of the guilt I've had for being at home. Lori is going to find someone to hire to be her substitute so she can have backup and days off. I'm so glad. It was too much for me to do it from Canada or even from here.
