Lots done so far today trimed 18 plates, ran the glaze firing overnight

Gee is it even still the same day? I got up at 5 to watch the kiln. The kiln setter dropped at 6 or so and I watched it for 15 minutes or so, having turned the kiln back on after the setter had fallen. JP says that's the way it should be done.

I still wasn't sure if the cones were bent correctly or not, but figured it was done. I hope it was!

I cleaned up in the kitchen, did two loads of laundry, put the motherwort leaves in a jar, put away the stuff from glazing last night and moved my yarn from one shuttle to another.

When the sun rose, I went out and filmed the frost and worked my way across the hillside to Iceberg Pond, which didn't show any signs of freezing.

I cloth walked to Fiddlehead pond and filmed all the frost on leaves and such, sat in the tipi for awhile, retrieved my frozen pottery wash cloths and hung them in the apple tree.

I came up and trimmed my 18 plates. One is to be returned to the mix and done again. I was so sore by the time I'd finished and it was nearly 3pm.

I weighed some of the clay on the plaster batts, then sat I the living room in my comfy chair and relaxed.

I've been trying to upload for awhile, too.
