Walk
I found my ipod which was under the passenger seat of the car. I'm so glad I've founede it! My laptop doesn't work anymore. Well, it works but it won't type properly. JM show up every time I try to type anything. So this one that has no working monitor, which I have to plug into a monitor, is my computer of choice now. Perhaps I can add a keyboard to the other one like Abe did last night to have it work.
It is warm out this morning, +15C. But it's going to drop to 7C this afternoon. It's also supposed to rain all day long. I wonder if I can peel some cedar yet. I don't want to wait for the blackflies.
I went for a walk. I stopped in at Fiddlehead pond, photoed the pond halfway thawed and a dead frog upside down on the bottom. :(. I brought up one of the birdhouses that was not yet put up. It's a downy, chickadee, nuthatch birdhouse. I'll have to google how high it should be for them.
I measured the distance from the pond to the edge of the floodwater of the stream. It's not 35m, like it's supposed to be. Drat. NOw what do I do...I guess there's nothing I can do. HOwever, when it's not in flood it's better. I don't think that matters.
I used my canes and walked to the bridge where I sat in a lawn chair to relax. I'm glad I've put that chair, those two chairs there now.
On the way back I cut into the bent tangle of alders, thanks to the heavy snowfall that sat on them for over a month and broke off many and bent the rest. There were no ducks in the stream or the lower pond, but the bridge was a foot above the water, so deserved a photo. It was sunny outside for a few minutes, too.
I walked back, checked on the groundhog hole by the road, but it wasn't anything but an 8" hole! Oh well! A pair of mallards saw me before I saw them and flew upstream a dozen feet. I went around and got a picture of one of them before they flew off again.
I sat in the chair I put by the side of the road at the culvert and took a picture of the alder catkins that look like they are filled with pollen. Good picture, I think.
I am trying to upload a few videos with movie maker as that is so much faster. I'll also go release a few more of the videos I uploaded at Carla's. I'm getting behind on uploading again. sigh.
My pain is better mostly. I have a hard time swinging my leg behind me over the guard rail wire by the bridge, but it's not the right let that has so much trouble, but the left one. Perhaps it's the muscles in the left that are screaming and won';t let it do that. dunno. Gotta do my yoga again.
My breathing is much deeper than it was before I did the Complete Breath a few days ago.
