Goobye'ing with Becky
I had another very nice day today.
As soon as I got up, I phoned to see if I could come over to see Becky for a minute before they left. She said they were just having breakfast, so it was okay. I went over to see her at her inlaws and visited with her before they headed out to go see another couple they needed to see before they went back down south to Florida...where it's warm. LOL. Cold snap here. teehee.
She's such a great friend! It is amazing how self centered I am. I hardly remember thing that happened to her in our playing. I guess I was so self absorbed that I only paid attention to myself. She was such a dear child. We never fought or argued! We fed off each other's ideas, I guess. We'd each come up with things to do, most of which were in disregard for the rules.
I talked to Thia later about things the six of us had done together, she rmemebered playing down at the creek and playing hide and seek in the dark, too. We had The Bell, which ws ru when it was time to go home. They had to go home by dark, we had to go home when the bell rang three times. It's a big brass ship's fog bell my dad had gotten from somewhere. I wonder where that was.
I drove back avoiding UGA gameday traffic and did a pretty good job of it.
We had eggs and ham and veggies as usual, watched a movie... I forget what else.
Lori came and cleaned.
I didn't feel like watching another movie, so said I was going to bed. Mom was disappointed, but I really was tired of watching movies. I like lying in my bed with my laptop!
