We went to see Tanta Ro. She’s such a sweet lady! We got there near noon when she was having her toes done. Then she had to eat. IN the mean time we went to the cafeteria and had some cream of mushroom soup and a hotdog but it wasn’t. It was a frikandel. It was very good. Willem had one too, but Oma had some toast with a bit of salad and some meat in the toast, I think.

Since we still had some time to pass before we could visit with Willem's dad's sister, Willem and I went for a walk in the forest and saw lots of fox and rabbit holes. I’m not sure which ones. But they were big and there were lots of them. Willem taught me how to say vossen hol, fox hole and konijen, rabbits that they liked to eten, eat.

We got to visit with Tanta Ro at her dinner table after she was finished with her lunch. I showed her some photos of the birch bark basket container that I made. I am so sleepy. I went through my list of Dutch words and the alphabet and put dashes between the translated parts. I’ll have to organize it all a bit better so I can find things quickly. Take out the English writing anyway.

It made me very tired. We took Tante Ro back to her room. I helped her to get into bed, but then found out she isn’t supposed to go to bed during the day cos she gets too much sleep and then is up all the night. She is only 88. Oma Lily is 86. My mom is 85. Gee everyone is getting old. Except of course me and Mary! Willem is also getting old. He is 63.

There was a bit of rain on the car this morning when we left Oma’s parking lot. But today it has cleared up a lot and is much nicer now.

We need to stop and get some energy drinks that have no crash. I’m so sleepy in the afternoon sometimes.

I worry about my mom and having to be in a nursing home. There are such decrepit people in those places, it must be very difficult for them. It must be very depressing for the other people to have to see how they will become, too!
Mom is always remarking how quiet it is now that Amy has moved to California.

I like how many bike are here. So many people here ride their bikes I would love to ride my bike a lot, but it is way too hilly in our area. Lots of people bike through it though. Also the stores are very far from home.

The trees in the bushes that Willem and I walked through were very green on the tree trunks

I need to buy a microphone for my computer so I can Skype phone my mom and Mary, keep in touch you know!
