Visiting with Sue in Brockville

I was supposed to go work on the mural, but my leg/hip were in such pain, I coudln't imagine climbing the stairs!

So I went to town. I stopped at the bank to sign the safety deposit paper. I stopped at the dollar store for butcher knives. I bought some dish towels, I know, I'm making them, right. Well, I need some to destroy. I bought some dollar diamond earrings for the temple.

I went to Walmart to see if they had 5-hour energy drinks, but they didn't. I bought a net for cleaning out the swimming pond for six dollars and many oranges.

I went to visit Sue's mom and see if I could get Sue's phone number and address. We had a nice visit till after noon. She has a repeating design wallpaper border in her living room. A lovely camping scene on an island on a lake. The thousand islands, keeping up with the Joneses, I suggested, as the image repeated all around the room.

Then I drove down to Brockville and looked around, finding the college, the schools and Sue's apartment. I phoned and left her a message, knowing she'd be at work or in school.

I went to the pizza place, then sat in my car and removed outer bark from the bark strips I will use for my cedar bark baskets. I sat there and worked for several hours, then felt prompted that she'd gone in the back door.

So I called and she was just on her way to work. So I went over to the library and read some basketry books until she got off work.

We ate spring rolls in the chinese restaurant she recommended and caught up on all our time apart. She's got a lovely apartment with skylights illuminating several rooms at a time. Very interesting design.

I left her apartment at 11 and got home aroudn 12:30am. Willem did clerk work at the chapel today, so it was fine that I was so late as he didn't get home till 11pm or so anyway!
