Camp echoee and other adventures
Willem and I went for a long walk this morning for 1.25 hours in the neighbourhood, filming.
Mom's car was dead, so we called AAA and they came to jump it. Then I turned it off by mistake, so had all sorts of trouble, then called them again.
I made breakfast for us.
Mom mended the button on Willem's pants.
Willem and I went to the mountains.
I bought a cement bench, a Toby dog and four cement walkway stones for accessing the porch swing out front.
We found camp echoee.
we wnt to the old sautee store, then to helen and to unicoi before sky lake and then sleepy hollow. It woudl hve been faster to turn at the store, then at sky lake then at sleepy hollow.
To get there, turn rt at the old sautéed store, drive to sky lake rd on the left. Turn rt at the red gate to sleepy hollow. Walk in, taking left fork of dirt road. Bare rt at lake.
We walked around the gate, but we went the lower of the two dirt roads,
the one into Sleepy Hollow. We should have taken the upper one. It was a
lot of walking, but so interesting.
The back of my car said Nancy Today, so when Jay came ho...
Jay of sleepy Hollow gave us a tour. I filmed all of it, even the writing on the walls of the cabins.
He knew where they all were. If not for him, I'd never have found the ruins!
So much to talk about our trip. Cindy + Larry on the cabin wall even! So funny! Tall mountain laurel, collasped buildings, old trees where there were none before.
Cold springfed stream, warm lake, horse packed pathway, so interesting. Many videos.
We got home around 10. Willem gave mom a priesthood blessing, then packed, did laundry and we are off to bed for four hours till we have to be at the airport for him to fly home!
